Welcome to the WHCA Website
On Saturday, July 24, 2010 we celebrated our annual Wynnefield Heights Community Day. This
year’s event was the best Community Day ever and despite the excessive heat many of our
neighbors joined in the celebration! In addition to Community Day we also commemorated the
completion of the new Walking Track, Phase V of the Conshohocken Windemere Revitalization
Plan, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The 1/6th mile Walking Track was made possible by
funding from the City of Philadelphia, specifically our Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr. and designed
by the Department of Public Property. A few highlights of the day were 17 information tables
hosted by local businesses, organizations and community partners. Donations and financial
sponsorship from various businesses and organizations made the day’s festivities possible.
Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr, and State Representative Kathy Mandarino were very impressed
with our continued efforts to improve our Park and announcement their continued financial
support of our Revitalization Plan. Thank you to all who attended and those sponsors and donors
for their support.
